About Me

Hi, I’m Fernando Jimenez and I’m currently a student at the University of Washington majoring in Human-Centered Design and Engineering, and minoring in Data Science.

My passion is in UX Research as I enjoy getting to know people and understanding the problems they may be encountering. I am pursuing this with the courses I’ve taken as well as the clubs I’ve been a part of. I’m currently in HuskyADAPT, a club at the University of Washington that seeks to develop accessible design and technology, using both UX research and design. My current project is to design and develop better accessible library technology systems that will be implemented in the near future. Projects like the one I’m currently working on resonate deeply with me as I’m helping and understanding others. Which I hope to continue doing to make a difference in the future with both my passion and experience.

I also really enjoy the outdoors and when I have free time I like to explore the PNW by hiking or fishing.
